Queen City Century
Sunday, May 18th 2008
We invite you to join us for the Queen City Century, a ride through the beautiful scenic Shenandoah Valley south of Staunton, VA in southern Augusta County. The ride will provide scenic vistas, county farms, small towns, and scenic rural roads. All the routes are paved and have low traffic volume.
Rides will follow a clover leaf pattern returning to the same rest stop multiple times with all loops adding up to 100 miles
Rides of different lengths are available by only completing one, two, or three loops.

Ride Leaves from the Wharf area of Historic Downtown Staunton on off of West Johnson St. at 8:00am sharp. Parking will be available in the Wharf lot or in the two parking garages in downtown. Registration check-in will be behind Black Dog Bikes. Mapquest 121 South Lewis St. Staunton, VA 24401 for Directions.
All traffic regulations and laws must be observed. Helmets are required and must be worn for the entire length of the tour. All riders must ride to the right side of the road at all times. This is not a race.

Thanks to everyone who helped make the 1st annual Queen City Century a success.

The club hosted its first big event and the riders had fun, didn't get too lost and all made it back to Black Dog Bikes.
A big thank you goes to James, Sara, Annette, Tish, Joan, Mahlon, Alice, Rieta, and Holly. And we can't forget the Boodys for their hospitality in opening their facility for our event.
The 2008 QUEEN CITY CENTURY is scheduled to happen on May18th.

Ditto, Big Thanks to everyone that made the ride happen. I think the first installment of the Queen City Century was a success. Here are a few pictures of the roll-out for downtown.
